Chembargains.com is a marketplace for chemicals. With its targeted audience of chemical companies, manufacturers, importers and exporters it serves as a platform for advertising chemical products, and also for
finding new suppliers. In addition it provides tools to effectively negotiate and collaborate with your trading partners.
2. What benefits will I get if I join the chembargains.com network?
As a chembargains.com member you will be a part of a growing network of
chemical companies who are only a click away. You will be able to find new buyers for
your products, you will be able to source new suppliers offering more
competitive rates. Easy accessibility and intuitive organization of
communications with your suppliers or buyers will improve conversion rates. Potential
saving in communication costs are also an added benefit.
3. How long does it take for the membership to be approved?
Membership is approved in real-time. As soon as you provide us with your
registration information, your membership is approved and you are ready to place
leads which will be distributed to our members. Membership information you
provide is also reviewed manually. If this information is found to be
incomplete, we would contact you to provide us with the details. Users with
inaccurate contact information are removed from the system.
4. What next after registration?
Once your account is active you may login to your account and start placing leads for products.
The leads can be for buying or selling chemical products. A sell lead would work as an auction platform
whereby other members can place bids for buying the product. You may accept one or more bids depending on
various criteria important to you. The highest bidder does not automatically win the auction. A buy lead acts as a reverse
auction platform. Members bid to supply the desired product. Criteria for accepting the bid are decided by you and it is again not
neccessary that the lowest bidder wins the reverse auction.
5. Who can bid for leads on chembargains.com?
All members whether paid or free are allowed to place bids on leads that have
already been posted on the "Trade Leads" page.
6. Are free members allowed to post leads?
Yes, and no. Free members may also post leads, but these leads are only
accessible to the chembargains.com staff. Upon review we decide whether we can
quote you a buy or sell price for the product, or whether we can place a lead on
the "Trade Leads" page on your behalf (a proxy lead). This maybe dependent on
various factors. Also if a proxy lead is placed, we would negotiate with the
bidders and convey the offers to you. On assurance of a Fee Protection Agreement
of 1.5% we will reveal contact details of the bidders. To ensure that we can
take up your lead we would request you to provide us with complete information
about your product, including the indicative price you would like to buy or sell
it for.
7. Why are only paid member leads displayed on the Trade Leads page?
This is to ensure that all leads are placed only on genuine buy or sell
interest. Since members have paid for their leads to be displayed on the
Trade Leads page the chances of a successful transaction are
increased.
8. What membership options do I have?
Depending on the number of products you would like to buy or sell you may
choose from the following three kinds of paid membership types. While the bronze
membership allows 2 leads to be placed for a period of 90 days, a silver member
can advertise unlimited products for 90 days. Gold members may advertise
unlimited products for a year.
9. Do you guarantee that I will find a buyer or seller for my product?
We cannot guarantee that you will be able to find a buyer or seller for your
product, but since chembargains.com is a dynamic database of chemical companies, manufacturers exporters and importers
chances are that you will be able to find buyers and sellers. Success of a deal depends on many factors such as price, payment
terms, shipment dates etc. which you will have to negotiate with the bidders.
10. To summarize?
Typical process is that once you register with chembargains.com, you will be
able to search all buy and sell offers that have been posted by members. You may
bid for any of these offers, and negotiate with the host. You are free to
exchange any information with the host using the message exchange platform.
Negotiation is an independent process between you and the host and will decide
the final outcome of the lead.
You may also start an auction, or reverse auction for your product. Again
negotiation and final terms are decided between you and the bidders
independently. Chembargains is not a part of any transaction or communication
between you and the bidders. But in the event help is required you may contact us.
